The Open Channel Europe is an artistic initiative that has been sparking communication and exchange in this new district since 2020 through various art actions.

"Endziel Glückseligkeit" (Final Destination: Bliss) is an ongoing project by artist Constanze Klar that deals with the absurdity of human existence and is focused on encounters. Following the motto "The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak," we will either face reality together or escape it (depending on the situation). The site-specific and stock-related beer and water bar keeps us in good spirits, analyzes the current state of affairs, and draws people to this still unfamiliar place in Moabit.

The mobile bar will be moving around Otto-Weidt-Platz. Come and find us!

During Ortstermin, various artists will demonstrate working with hot glass on the blowpipe. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe the glassblowers. During Ortstermin, a community object will be created from a multitude of individual pieces.

We will carve chops, steaks, or briskets. The works (max. A4 size) will then be printed. Additionally, a large format with prints on drawing paper, e.g., 150x400 cm, will be created.

It will be possible to play chess with artistically designed chess pieces. The pieces, crafted from wood and clay, were designed by the children of the "Farbspiennen" art workshop.

Performance about meeting human flesh (20 min) _Difference between "flesh" and "meat“_ The dance performance is based on internet research on the question: What is the difference between "flesh" and "meat"?

Instinctively, I would say there's a difference:

‘manpurse’ is a 15-minute, 360-degree dance performance exploring the link between objects and gender stereotypes, highlighting the absurdity of societal labelling. The piece challenges these restrictions, emphasising that humans, made of the same flesh and blood, should freely choose the objects that enrich their lives. It raises awareness of the limitations we place on ourselves and others, including judgement, shame and expectations despite living in a system claiming freedom of choice.

Luzi Bling's surreal songs from her debut EP Trigger explore the beast within humans, "fleshly desires," and socially accepted abuse. The video clips for the songs can be shown on a screen during the performance or separately from the live singing.

"I am presenting a performance of the extraordinary fusion of gentle melodies from France with real magical, rhythmic music from Latin America, as well a dance act."

In the rooms of the family centre/multigenerational house of SOS Children's Village, you can see drawings, prints, collages and paintings by Marika Voß, as well as photography by Alsane Koite.

Additionally, it will be possible to play chess with artistically designed chess pieces. The pieces, crafted from wood and clay, were designed by the children of the "Farbspiennen" art workshop. .

The aim of the performance is to create an interactive and multisensory experience that combines art, gastronomy, and performative observation. The main concept is to set up beautifully decorated tables in various parts of the neighbourhood, where flower bouquets mimicking meat not only serve as decoration but are also integrated into the gastronomic presentation.

The audience is invited to come closer to the tables to examine the compositions and dishes in more detail. After the observation period, each viewer will receive a flower from the bouquets. This is meant to symbolise the unity and interaction between art and everyday life.

We will play Latin Jazz music and other songs for listening and dancing

The musical quartet RANK takes you on a journey through time, going back to the 80s and 90s. Everyone is invited to become the romantic, melancholic, nihilistic poets of their own lives.
